This same shit literally happened to me and I was brought into a back room with police and everything until they checked surveillance the prejudice is real and it needs to end its 2018 why are we still doing the skin color thing cmon humanity

Honestly go fucking ham if you’re being racially profiled at a store, like no joke call district managers call corporate, make twitter posts, make them fucking squirm bc 100% of the time you are being racially profile bc uhhhh RACISM FUCKING EXISITS and if folks working loss prevention aren’t vocal about racial bias they are 100% hoping you are stealing if yr black or brown

^^^^ that last part! I worked for Walmart in my own home town and I was followed around MY OWN STORE by loss prevention. Me and the only other dark skin were followed to the back room multiple times throughout our shift.

The three employees involved were fired after Old Navy and parent company The Gap opened an investigation. The customer is filing a denial of service lawsuit.

It really feels like the only way to get these companies to own up to their shit and do the right thing is to publicly shame them so keep taking those videos and keep posting them to Facebook and Twitter. White people, that means us too. If you witness something like this happening, do something.

Bayard Rustin was an openly gay Black man who was Martin Luther King’s right hand man. He planned the Million Man March and was subject to scrutiny for his sexuality and deemed a “deviant” and “pervert”.

Bayard Rustin can be found in nearly every picture of MLK yet he has undoubtedly been erased from history. We have to fix that.

Well then, let’s bring that name back.

Bayard Rustin, openly gay, human rights activist, proud black man.

Yeah he was literally the guy who was the head of planning the March on Washington.

I did a research project on him, Ella Baker, Claudette Colvin and Stokely Carmichael comparing their contributions to the Civil Rights Movement to the lack of recognition and misrepresentation they received in commonly used high school American History textbooks. All of these people played major roles in the Civil Rights Movement—almost on par with MLK—yet they go largely unnoticed or unfairly pushed aside not only during their time, but even now in classes on American History.

These men and women deserve to be remembered.

Throughout the episode Castiel is surrounded with/framed with modern haloes. Only in the moments when he feels most conflicted, Dean torturing Alistair and the conversation with Uriel about God possibly not giving the commands anymore, this rule is broken. Other characters are also linked to rings and circles, especially when they’re on the path of good. However, not all non-circular shapes are linked to evil things.

Following this logic, Sam is doing a balacing act between good and evil, and Ruby is not there to fight the looming apocalypse. Anna is apparently trustworthy, and our favorite angel, Castiel, is totally and completely fighting the good fight. And Dean is doing the best he can.
