I just died, this killed me

I hate this I hate this I hate this I hate this

My english teacher played the whole song in class once. I think he was trying to describe postmodernism.

Just remember that Mark Hamil showed this to Carrie Fisher and they both couldn’t stop laughing. Its Luke and Leia Approved

This is one of the best thing on the internet.

Fluent Chinese speaker volunteers needed for translation of interviews for an LGBT+ Taiwan related project

Hi everyone, my name is Ryan and in May I had the honor of travelling to Taiwan for two weeks on a University sponsored grant to learn more about the Taiwanese queer community. It was an incredible experience, especially since we were there to witness the landmark ruling by the Supreme Court regarding the legalization of same-sex marriage! We met truly incredible people and activists and learned a ton.

Now, we really want to use our momentum to share what we learned with the world. We hope to make a short documentary film (5-10 mins) showcasing our trip and everything we saw and learned. The bigger product of our research is going to be a written report in two parts: one part will be a gathering of “portraits” of the Taiwanese LGBT+ community, or the individual stories of people we interviewed; the second part will be an analysis of the sociopolitical climate for the Taiwanese queer community based on everything we saw and learned.

In order to accomplish any of this, we need help translating the interviews. We have about 15 one-hour long interviews in Mandarin which need close and accurate translation. Currently, we are hoping to find volunteers fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English to help translate these. You don’t have to take on a whole interview – you can translate only parts, if you are reluctant to commit to a whole interview! Translators must be able to guarantee they will keep the video and all its contents confidential to protect the identities of the itnerviewees. Please, please, please support us in making this project happen!

Please, message me on here or email me at ihzlatan@owu.edu if you can help! Please, reblog to spread the word!

UPDATE

I’ve had an amazing amount of volunteers offer their help with transation! A majority of interviews has been translated, but a few crucial interviews remain! I am hard at work on my documentary. In fact, I made a really exciting decision: I will be making a docu-series, rather than one long documentary, which will allow me to include more information and not rush through the process. Expect a trailer soon!!

So please: if you can offer your translator services – let me know! Email me at ryan.zlatanova.2017@owu.edu or message me on here!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE email me if you can help! A really important interview which we need for our documentary is sitting only half translated! We have about 30-40 minutes of it left for translation – please, email me if you can help!
